Get your own Orsola phone number
Pick a number Orsola answers for you, and see what it costs per month and per minute.
Which plan you need
A phone number is on Max only. On any other plan you will see Phone in the sidebar and be told what it needs.
The number itself is charged separately from the plan, in credits, every month — see the costs below before you commit to one.
Confirm your own phone number first
Before Orsola will hand you a number of its own, you confirm the one you already have. That is how it knows where to reach you and that the account belongs to a real person.
You are sent a six-digit code. It expires after 10 minutes, you get 3 attempts per code, and you can request up to 5 codes a day with 15 minutes between requests. Verify your phone number covers it and what to do if the code never arrives.
Choose a number and confirm it
- Open the Phone agent in the sidebar. If it is not there, choose Add Agent and pick it.
- Browse the numbers available and pick one. What is on offer depends on the region.
- Choose Provision. You are shown exactly what it will cost per month, in credits, before you agree.
- Confirm. Calls and texts to the number start working within a few minutes — not instantly, so do not judge it by a test call made ten seconds later.
Make that test call once it is live, and hear what a caller hears. It is the fastest way to know it is working, and the fastest way to find out you would rather change something.
What it costs each month and per minute
- The number itself is a recurring monthly charge in credits, taken from your balance rather than billed separately. It is charged once when you provision the number and again on the same day each month.
- Calls and texts cost on top of that, by usage. A number that sits idle costs its monthly charge and no more.
- The conversation itself costs like any other Orsola work, and it is audio, which is the expensive kind.
All three follow one rule rather than a price list: what the carrier charges, plus 20%, at 100 credits to the dollar. So a number the carrier prices at a dollar a month is 120 credits a month to you. Numbers differ by region and the carrier changes its own prices, which is why the figure you are shown at the moment you choose a number is the one that counts — Orsola re-checks it as you confirm and refuses rather than charging you a price you were not quoted.
There is no published per-minute or per-text rate for the same reason. Calls and texts are billed on what they actually cost, marked up the same way, and check your balance and usage shows what they came to.
Because it comes out of the same balance as everything else, a busy phone month eats into what is left for chat and meetings. Check your balance and usage shows the split.
Giving up a number stops calls and texts immediately, the number is unavailable again for around 30 days, and the current month is not refunded.
Where to go next
