Nothing loading, or a blank screen?
A page that will not load, spins forever, or comes up blank.
What you are seeing
A white screen, a spinner that never resolves, or a page that loads half of itself and stops.
Almost all of this is local — the browser, an extension, or a cached copy of an older version of Orsola. Work down in order; each step takes seconds.
Reload, properly
- Reload the page. Ordinary reload first.
- Then a hard reload, which fetches everything again instead of reusing the cached copy: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac.
- Then clear the cache for the site and reload once more.
A hard reload fixes the commonest version of this: your browser holding an old copy of Orsola while the rest of it has moved on. A blank screen right after we release something is nearly always this.
Extensions, blockers, and private windows
Open Orsola in a private or incognito window. Extensions are disabled there by default, so this tells you the answer in one move:
- It works in private — an extension is the cause. Ad blockers, privacy and script blockers are the usual ones. Turn them off for Orsola specifically rather than everywhere.
- It fails in private too — not an extension. Carry on below.
Corporate networks can also block parts of an app. If you are on a work network or VPN, try without it.
Try another browser or device
Open Orsola in a different browser, or on your phone.
- It works elsewhere — the problem is that browser's profile. Clearing its cache and cookies for Orsola usually settles it.
- It fails everywhere — this is not local, and reporting it is the useful next step.
Also make sure the browser itself is reasonably current. Orsola needs a modern one, and a browser several versions behind can fail in exactly this way.
Still stuck
Get in touch with your browser and version, your operating system, which page fails, and — the useful part — whether it also failed in a private window and on another device. That single answer saves a whole round of questions.
If you can, add a screenshot. A blank screen with the address bar visible tells us more than it looks like it does.
