Ask for something to happen later or every week
Set up a one-off or repeating job by saying when it should run and what you want back.
Say when, what, and what you want back
There is no form to fill in. Ask in a message, the way you would ask a person, and include three things:
- When. A date and time for something once, or a pattern for something repeating — every Monday at 8am, the first of each month.
- What to do. The actual work, not just the topic.
- What you want back. A reminder, a summary, a draft, a list. This is what turns up later, so it is worth a few extra words.
Times are read in your profile's time zone unless you name a different one in the message. If your profile is set to the wrong place, 8am means 8am somewhere else — worth checking on your profile before you set up anything that matters.
Examples that work
"Every Monday at 8am, look at my calendar for the week and send me a short summary of what needs preparing."
"On the 28th of each month, remind me to submit expenses, and list anything I logged that has no receipt attached."
"Tomorrow at 4pm, remind me to follow up with Priya about the contract."
"Every Friday afternoon, check my inbox for anything I have not replied to that looks like it needed one, and list it."
Notice that the good ones say what should arrive. "Remind me about the report every Monday" gets you a nudge; the first example above gets you the actual summary.
Check it understood you
When something is scheduled, Orsola tells you what it recorded — what will run, when it next runs, and in which time zone. Read that back before you move on. It is the one moment where a misunderstanding is cheap to fix, and it is far easier than working out later why nothing arrived.
If it is wrong, say so in the same conversation: "make that 7am, not 7pm", "weekdays only", "actually make it monthly". Changing an existing schedule is a message, not a rebuild.
Two limits worth knowing: you can have 50 scheduled jobs at a time, and they run at most six times an hour between them — comfortable for reminders and daily summaries, not a substitute for something that needs to run every minute.
Where it turns up afterwards
The result lands in the conversation you set it up in, as a new message, and the bell tells you it arrived. It stays there — you can scroll back through a weekly job and see every run.
A repeating job also sees what it produced last time, so it can say what changed rather than repeating itself week after week.
The Task agent in the sidebar lists everything you have scheduled, with when each one next runs.
Where to go next
Where scheduled results turn up covers the bell and getting told by email or on your phone. If something should have arrived and did not, go straight to my reminder did not run.
